What You'll Need:

1Start with the Stencils

Get started by following the stencils included in the Robotics Activity Guide. Create all the flat pieces you'll need to build your hopping frog!
3Doodler Tip: Smooth the plastic with your fingers as you go to make a more even surface.

2Doodle with Blocks

Use the Robotics DoodleBlocks to create solid pieces for your frog's hopping legs.

3Brace the Battery

Doodle the battery pack and the motor in place to help form the body for your frog.

4Plan the Pieces

 

Lay out all your pieces to see how the legs and body will come together.

5Get a Leg Up

Attach the hopping legs to the moving motor parts, and add the lower parts of the legs and feet.

6A Head of the Pack

Doodle together the pieces that form your frog's head.

7Go Wireless

Tuck in the wires connecting the motor to the battery pack, and slide the head of your frog over the end to hide them.

8Body Building

Add the other flat pieces to create the body of your frog.

9Front Feet Forward

Give your frog a leg to stand on by adding the stationary front legs and feet!

10Froggy Features

Give your frog friend a face by adding eyes and a mouth!
